The Veloce is a civilian sports car featured in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

The Veloce is the fastest land vehicle available in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. The Veloce is a light red, two seat sports car that boasts incredible speed and handling. Originally found in the UP side mission, Built For Speed, the Veloce can also be found due east of Caracas, in the wealthy Caracas Estates. After the battle for Caracas, no vehicles can be found at all at the Estates.

This civilian vehicle can reach speeds that can easily outrun most helicopters, even with the roads taken into account. Despite its amazing speed and handling, the Veloce is extremely weak to enemy fire and other forms of damage and will be easily destroyed in a warzone. While driving a Veloce, the player should take into consideration obstacles in their path, even though the vehicle's terrific speed should allow it to evade in time.

Real lifeEdit

The car's overall design is heavily based on the Ultima GTR, having the wide, low profile body design and greenhouse area in common. The rear overhang is similar to that of the Saleen S7. and the front air vents and the inclusion of small fog lamps within the bumper resemble those found on the Koenigsegg CCX. The rear bumper shape could also take influence from the Covini C6W. The rear hood could be inspired by the Bugatti Veyron or McLaren F1. The vehicle appears to have gullwing doors.

  • The number plates read "RAN-55TR".
  • The name "Veloce" is the Italian word for fast.
