Soo-heon Park, also known as the Nine of Spades, was a former scientist in General Yun's nuclear weapons program and currently a member of the Korean People's Army Elite Special Forces during Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.

ExOps bio[edit | edit source]

Name: Soo-heon Park
"Dr. Park served under General Yun in the nuclear weapons program. Probably as a result of prolonged exposure to improperly shielded nuclear materials, Dr. Park contracted fatal cancer. Upon learning of this, she abandoned her career as a scientist, and enlisted, quickly gaining entrance into Song's special forces squad."

Overview[edit | edit source]

Dr. Park can be found in the Northern Province of North Korea, along with the other Spades after the verification of the Ace of Hearts.

Her exact location is east-south-east of Chongju, at the end of the dirt road that breaks off south of the road heading east of Chongju, being positioned on the hill exactly above where the player could verify the Eight of Hearts.

She is protected by four ZSU-57 Anti-Airs, an SA-8 Anti-Air, and numerous KPA elite soldiers armed with LMGs and RPGs who will continuously spawn from three small bunkers unless they're destroyed. Some of the elite soldiers may be equipped with Anti-Air Rockets and RPGs. Park herself is armed with an LMG.

Subject: Soo-heon Park, the 9 of Spades
I spent the last half an hour reading up on Dr. Soo-heon park, the 9 of Spades. She worked in General Yun's nuclear program and was only 25 years old when she was diagnosed with fatal cancer. Then she signed up for duty in Song's special forces squad. Must be quite a woman. Colonel Garrett says his men crossed her path just southeast of Chongju. Might be worth checking out.

GSRN Report[edit | edit source]

Upon capturing/verifying the Nine of Spades, GSRN Trucks will broadcast the following report:

"Dr. Soo-heon park, a former member of Song's nuclear weapons program and the Allies' Nine of Spades, was captured yesterday after fierce fighting with Allied troops. What events prompted the doctor and scientist to abandon her career and join Song's elite special forces team, are not well known."
