The Messenger is an unarmed HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) commonly used by the Allied Nations for transport. It is a very cheap vehicle to purchase, due to its light armor speed. It is the primary vehicle used by the AN in World in Flames and its variants are used for a wide variety of jobs.

All messenger humvees have bullet proof glass windows which can protect the occupants small arms fire, though larger caliber weapons will be able to penetrate the glass, as can Anti-Material Rifles.

This is the only vehicle the player can melee through; it is possible to kill everyone in the Messenger without the passengers exiting and without having to fire a bullet. A suitable tactic is to jump onto the engine block and melee; this will make the Mercenary kick the driver.

  • An unarmed messenger can be found in the game before the Allies actually show up in the storyline. Simply head to Guanare and travel south-east from there, when approaching the bridge look down towards the water and there should be a small base, go there and an AN soldier carrying a Combat Rifle will be next to a parked messenger.
  • On the canvas covering the rear of the unarmed messenger the words "Solano Sucks!" are spray painted, and a tally of sorts is painted on the driver's door.
