The M1126 APC is an Allied Nations armored personnel carrier, or APC, featured in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.
Overview[]
Featuring 8-wheel drive, making it more suitable for off-road terrain and featuring heavier armor, making it invulnerable to light small arms fire compared to the lighter M1025 Scout, however, heavy fire (such as tank shells and rockets) still pose a threat to this vehicle.
It sports a .50 calibre machine gun as a primary armament, which is effective against infantry and light vehicles. The gun is remote controlled, and only the gunner's head is visible which gives him more protection from enemy fire compared to other vehicles. The M1126 sports a green/forest camouflage scheme like most AN vehicles.
The M1126 will become available to purchase from the Merchant of Menace after completing 'Inspect and Verify' for a minimum of $32,000.
Trading one into the Russian Mafia chop shop at full health will net you $8,000.
Locations[]
Southern province[]
- The M1126 APC is offered to the player for the first time during the first Ace Contract after completing the bonus objective.
- Once 'Bringing Down the House' is completed it can be found around the AN HQ in the Southern Province. One is always stationed in front of the northwest bridge leading to the HQ. Others can periodically be found patrolling the area.
- One can be found guarding the road just northwest of the AN HQ.
Northern Province[]
- Two are located outside the prison after rescuing President Kim in 'The Ace of Spades'.
Tactics[]
The M1126 APC has a considerably good speed for its size, although it is not as fast as the Sungri Scout. The armor of the M1126 negates the damage from small-arms fire, but not from explosions and bumps. The turret is quite weak so it is recommended to be used as anti-infantry, as it will take an extended period of time to destroy vehicles. Loading up the APC with allied troops and get them out where the player desires can effectively be a good use of this vehicle, since it can load up to six people, including the driver and the gunner. It can also protect them from radiations, as the M1126 is NBC (Nuclear Biological Chemical) shielded.

The M1126 is based on the real life M1126 "Stryker".
