The K-60 Transport is a South Korean transport helicopter that is featured in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.
Overview[]
The K-60 is a troop transport used by the South Koreans to transport troops or supplies. It bears strong resemblance to its Allied Nations counterpart, the UH-60 Transport, as it shares the same purpose, although it is not seen as often. The K-60 sports two side mounted 7.62mm miniguns, just like the UH-60 and S70, which it utilises for protection against light vehicles and infantry. It's the helicopter that delivers supply crates to the player during South Korean contracts.
Locations[]
Southern Province[]
- The K-60 can easily be acquired at the end of 'Stem the Tide', when two K-60s drop off reinforcements at the end of the contract. The player can commandeer either of the K-60s after they land.
Northern Province[]
- Plenty of them patrol the city of Chongju; these K-60s respawn infinitely.
- During the Spades chapter one K-60 fights against the Chinese at the Taechon Western Battlefields.
Tactics[]
Like the UH-60, the K-60 is one of the vehicles with the highest troop capacity in the game; it has space for six passengers, two of which man the miniguns, and the pilot. This helicopter is useful for transportation duties and for lifting a wide range of ground vehicles. However, it falls short as a combat vehicle. The side mounted miniguns do nothing to armored targets, and leave the K-60 vulnerable to anti-aircraft weaponry.
Real Life[]
The K-60 is based on the MH-60 Pavehawk.
