Ji-Won Han, also known as the Jack of Hearts, is the head of North Korea's nuclear weapon division and ICBM development, and also a member of the Circle of Five during Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.

Name: Ji-Won Han

"Colonel Han led General Kang's nuclear weapons division. After gathering an elite team of engineers and scientists, known as the Circle of Five, Han used funds from Division 39 to ensure his researchers were well supplied. Under his leadership, the team succeeded in manufacturing working nuclear warheads."

Overview

The Jack of Hearts is encountered during the Chinese contract 'Chain Reaction' at the Taechon Reactors. The primary objective of this contract is for the player to verify the Jack while assisting the Chinese forces in their push against the KPA.

Han himself is located inside the reactor, surrounded by radiation. He is heavily protected by an almost infinite amount of T-62s, BMPs, Sungri Scout patrols, two SA-8s, and a handful of KPA elite soldiers. Han and his bodyguards are all wearing protective equipment which shields them from the radiation. In order to capture him alive, the player is required to extract him from the radiation and into the clear area (either by carrying him, or using a vehicle), or risk slowly dying from exposure while awaiting extraction.

Upon capturing/verifying the Jack of Hearts, GSRN Trucks will broadcast the following report:

"I'm happy to report, that the Jack of Hearts, Colonel Ji-Won Han, the leader of General Kang's Circle of Five scientists and engineers, was captured last night, after hours of fighting between Allied forces and North Korean troops."
