This is a relatively rare vehicle, seen mostly when the Allied Nation soldiers report hostile acts and call for backup. The armor on this vehicle is quite low, making it inadequate to fight tanks in a straight up fight (but still possible). It's equipped with a powerful 105mm cannon. Shell explosions have a large radius but damage is less focused, they work better on infantry.

It can be purchased from the Allied Nations. It's comparable to the Chinese Tempered Hammer Artillery; the Guardian is faster but less armored.

Take note that aiming the gun in this APC is quite difficult. It doesn't respond to slight controls and will suddenly jerk in a direction once the controls have been pushed far enough. This can make it somewhat tricky to get some of those precise shots.

Tactics[]

The armor is type 2, meaning it can withstand any infantryman's bullets, but weapons like .50cals, miniguns or anti-tank missiles on other ground vehicles will be able to easily destroy the vehicle.

It is equipped with a powerful 105mm cannon not intended for use against heavy tanks or other heavily armored targets. In general, the Guardian Artillery works much better against infantry, light vehicles, light tanks and buildings. It's also limited in terms of ammunition with only 30 shells and slow firing rate, but chances are that the vehicle will be destroyed before all ammunition is spent.

This Guardian variant is not well equipped to fight helicopters or heavy armor, the damage from the cannon against armor is the same as an RPG or a dumb fire rocket from a helicopter, which is a relatively small 15% damage on a Heavy Tank (Diplomat Heavy Tank/Iron Mountain Heavy Tank). A single RPG is enough to destroy the Guardian.

Real Life[]

The Guardian Artillery is a relatively accurate replica of the Canadian/USA M1128 Mobile Gun System, however the real life vehicle is actually a tank destroyer, which would engage targets in its line-of-sight with anti-armor shells, while the Guardian Artillery is used for non-line-of-sight bombardment with high explosive shells, which wouldn't be as efficient against tanks.
