Executive Operations (commonly abbreviated ExOps) is a private military company that was incorporated in 2001. It provides military services to world governments and private interests. ExOps has vast resources, as they are capable of using satellites to aid their coordinators. Extremely large, they employ mercenaries from all over the world and deploy them on missions set forth by their own coordinators. It is unclear where ExOps' headquarters is, or where they recruit new mercenaries.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction[]

During the events of the first game, ExOps decided to take the initiative in the North Korean war and sent one of their best operatives to North Korea to acquire the bounty placed on General Song. Before the mercenary is flown over to North Korea, a shot of the interior of the "Executive Operations Situation Room" is shown in an unknown ExOps building at an "undisclosed location", a large screen that shows a slideshow presenting information known about the Song Initiative is the only part seen, with Fiona Taylor talking to other members about the current situation.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames[]

In the second game, ExOps is presumed to have either disbanded or the four mercenaries previously under their employ have since left the organization, as the game makes no reference whatsoever to ExOps. Fiona, Chris, Mattias, and Jennifer never speak of it during the course of the game.

Trivia[]

  • Although it is never confirmed or denied, it is possible that the C-17 Pilot is also a member of ExOps.
  • It is possible that Executive Operations is headquartered in Australia. The intro to Playground of Destruction says that the ExOps briefing is held at a +10 UTC time zone, which puts it in either Canberra, New South Wales, Tasmania, or Victoria if it is winter. It also could be in Queensland any time of the year, which would make the most sense as Pandemic Studios, the creators of the Mercenaries series, had offices in Brisbane, Queensland.
