- "If you ever need to fire eleven missiles in just over a second, the Cortez Rocket Artillery Vehicle is the easiest way to do it."
- — Stockpile description
The Cortez Rocket Artillery is a Venezuelan Army self-propelled Multiple Rocket Launcher truck that is featured in the PS2 version of Mercenaries 2.
Overview[]
The Cortez Artillery is supposed to be used to bombard locations even though it never does such thing in game. It's not recommended to bring it to a heavy fire fight, as it is very fragile, being easily destroyed by constant small arms fire.
Locations[]
- There is one north of Caracas and another near Gen.Torres' location, the latter being close to the river.
Tactics[]
In order to use the artillery effectively against infantry or ground vehicles the mercenary needs to park the front of the truck on a downhill slope to get a good angle.
Real Life[]
The Cortez Rocket Artillery is based on the Chinese NORINCO Type 81/PHL-81 MRLS.
