The Castro is at its best when you have both of the miniguns occupied with allies. AI gunners are recommended, since their accuracy is very high with these guns. Without door gunners, this helicopter won't survive long in a field full of enemies due to the pilot only getting one main weapon-the rocket pods and those will run out very quickly. It is generally a better idea to use the other Castro gunships.

It's a heavy helicopter, it has a decently high lift capacity but really poor manoeuvrability and will take a lot of SAM hits as well as AA fire and therefore go down very fast.

The Castro Attack Copter is a light attack helicopter used by the People's Liberation Army of Venezuela in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

Overview

The same as the transport but now the passenger positions have been replaced with two side-mounted miniguns, as well as the pilot receiving 38 rockets.

Tactics

The Castro is at its best when you have both of the miniguns occupied with allies. AI gunners are recommended, since their accuracy is very high with these guns. Without door gunners, this helicopter won't survive long in a field full of enemies due to the pilot only getting one main weapon-the rocket pods and those will run out very quickly. It is generally a better idea to use the other Castro gunships.

It's a heavy helicopter, it has a decently high lift capacity but really poor manoeuverability and will take a lot of SAM hits as well as AA fire and therefore go down very fast.

Real Life

The Castro series is based off the Bell "Huey" UH-1D helicopter widely used during the Vietnam War.

Trivia
