The Cargo Truck is an Allied Nations heavy truck featured in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.
Overview[]
The Cargo Truck is used by the Allied Nations to transport supplies into and across North Korea. It is large, unwieldy, and can only carry 2 people. Unlike the Chinese variant, the Allied variant only appears once through the entire game, in the possession of the Russian Mafia during the contract 'Housekeeping'. It is found carrying an Allies Supply Drop.
The Cargo Truck shares its physical appearance with the Chinese Cargo Truck as well as the Song Motor Company SMC 2100.
When it's sold to the Mafia chopshop at full health and at full Mafia standings it will net the player $1,000.
Tactics[]
The AN Cargo Truck is one of the rarest vehicles in the game, but it's not the best. Its armor can't take many projectiles and is very weak to anti-tank weapons. It also lacks armament, making it inappropiate for combat. The only decent thing about this vehicle is the speed, which is the same as the trucks of other nations.
Real Life[]
Unlike most vehicles in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, the Cargo Truck is not named after an existing real-life vehicle. However the Cargo Truck strongly resembles the 2-door variant of the Dongfeng EQ2102 used by the People's Liberation Army. Differences between the Cargo Truck and EQ2102 include a single windshield (not parted), a slightly different shaped window on the door, and square headlights rather than circular.

Trivia[]
- The in-game sound of the AN Cargo Truck's engine is the same of the M1025 Scout unlike the other trucks. This is most likely due to a scripting error.
